Following on from our petition against puppy farming and the government’s rather hands-off approach (to put it mildly), we will be continuing to raise awareness of puppy farming, and in particular Puppy Mill Awareness Day which takes place on 19th September 2009.
As you can tell from the name, this movement started in America but has now gone global. The original website is at www.awarenessday.org and a British organisation called Puppy Love is organising events to mark Puppy Mill Awareness Day. Their website is at www.freedom4dogs.org.uk.
If you have a twitter account you can show your support by wearing a twibbon specially created by k9freindsunited.com. You need to go to twibbon.com/join/Puppy-Mill-Awareness, login with your twitter account, and the twibbon will be added to your profile picture. Couldn’t be easier!
